Indomaret a mini-network that provides basic needs and daily necessities to the sales area of less than 200 m2. Managed by PT Indomarco Prismatama, the first outlet opened in November 1988 in Kalimantan.
In 1997, the company developed the first business franchise outlets in Indonesia, after Indomaret tested with over 230 outlets. On May 2003, Indomaret awarded "Franchise Company 2003" by President Megawati Sukarnoputri.
Indomaret now reached more than 6000 outlets. Of the total was 52% self-owned and the remainder is owned by the community, in all cities in Greater Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, Jakarta, and Medan.
Indomaret easily found in a residential area, office buildings and public facilities due to the placement location of outlets is based on the motto "easy and efficient". More than 3,500 kinds of non-food products and food are available at competitive prices, to meet almost all needs of everyday consumers.
Supported by the distribution center, which uses the latest technology, Indomaret is one of the most promising business assets. Indomaret reinforced by the presence of a subsidiary under the banner of INTRACO group, namely Indogrosir, FINCO, BSD Plaza, and Charmant.
