Mechanical Design Engineer
Riau - Batam
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug and commission production jigs, fixtures, equipment/machines.
- Review and design/ re-design production line layouts.
- Apply lean manufacturing and ergonomics concepts in the production line design.
- Attend meetings with internal/external customers to discuss about product/ project requirements.
- Research and develop new ideas and concepts to enhance production performance in the field of mechanical applications.
- Ensure just-in-time supply of parts that support the fulfillment of the project requirements.
- Lead other teams to integrate designs and outcomes.
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experiences in the manufacturing of Electrical/ Electronic products.
- Experienced in product and process design at the product and sub-assembly levels.
- Hands-on experiences in Lean Manufacturing concepts and applications.
- Proven project management and team integration/ leadership skills.
- Independent contributor with creative flair for mechanical designing and drawing with AutoCad or related software.
- Proven ability to multi-task and drive outcomes.
- Customer service and quality oriented.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must be willing to be based in Batam.
Riau - Batam
Responsibilities:
- Manage the supply chain of Electrical/ Electronics (EE) components and finished products at our manufacturing plants in Batam.
- Optimize procurement and supply workflows from supplier to manufacturing shop floor, and movement of finished goods to our distribution centres and customers.
- Ensure the production supplies meet our technical specifications.
- Ensure optimized inventory levels and costs through effective and accurate forecasting methodologies.
- Develop crisis management plans to mitigate dynamic inventory situations (shortfall, excess, quality issues, delivery issues, etc) in a manufacturing environment.
- Develop the supply chain team’s capabilities and optimize their performance.
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- At least 5 to 8 years of experiences in supply chain and logistics management in an Electrical/ Electronics components or manufacturing industry.
- Possesses strong knowledge and experiences in managing suppliers (>200), upstream supply of raw materials (>10,000 parts) and the downstream distribution of finished/ sub-assembly good to international distribution centres/hubs.
- Proven knowledge to develop, execute and review crisis management plans.
- Possesses leadership capabilities, good communication and analytical skills, and people development ability.
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP system.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Willing to be based in BATAM.
Upstream Flow Specialist (Supply Chain)
Riau - Batam
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report critical supply chain issues that affect quality and production schedules.
- Work with suppliers and ensure their solutions to address the supply issues are effective and carried out in a timely manner eg defining the shipment mode from overseas suppliers in order to optimize the inventory within agreed lead time.
- Collaborate with local suppliers to improve their material management and production processes.
- Conduct supply chain audits with local suppliers and ensure proper follow-up and closure of non-conformities.
- Conduct regular capacity reviews to ensure sustainable supply of materials for order fulfillment.
- Participate in NPI projects, carry out material planning, and establish sustainable upstream flow of materials with new and existing suppliers.
- Lead the supply chain transition and set up the logistic parameter flow for localization projects.
- Lead the improvement of MOQ and supplier lead time via collaborative actions with the Purchasing team.
- Ensure Material Master Parameters are correctly set in accordance with agreed specifications with each supplier (eg pricing, lead time, MOQ).
- Deploy appropriate just-in-time methodologies and tools to optimize inventory supply and improve purchasing forecast accuracy.
- Develop cross-functional relationships and lead change management with production staff.
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant experiences in an electrical/ electronic products’ manufacturing environment.
- Possesses skills in procurement management, order scheduling, manufacturing process and developing short term order plans.
- Candidates with SAP experiences will be prioritized.
- Proven ability to multi-task and drive outcomes.
- Customer service and quality oriented.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must be willing to be based in Batam.
